Fish is Fish Monday

During todays class we watched the video "Fish is Fish". Yes, it is a good book or video for young students but there is more to it than just a story. There are some concepts that we as future educators could teach through this story. Students will need to find the scientist within themselves and discover the science within this story. Tadpoles turn into frogs and no longer need to live under water, but if you notice when the frog comes back to his fish friend and tells him all about the world above, the fish pictures all of the creatures as fish! Because the fish knows nothing outside of the world of fish he thinks there is nothing outside his world of fish. 

This can be a lesson to teach students that in exploring science, or their world around them, they will make new discoveries every day!!

First ever blog!

This is a new experience for myself. This is the first time ever experimenting with an online blog. This is one portion of science that is very difficult for me to grasp... the computer. I am eager to discover new things that the computer can do although I am very nervous as well considering I use it nearly once a week. I am excited for the computer to teach  me better ways to become a professional as well as discover new ways to use it in my future classroom.

I love nature and I am excited to share new discoveries about nature around us.
